I Hate How No One Rips On You
Listed in: FootballMainstream media types have been pissing me off recently. First, there was all the sanctimonious horsesh** surrounding the baseball Hall of Fame vote. Writers used the occasion as an excuse to climb atop their pedestals and shout about certain baseball players' supposed moral depravity. However, many of those people are also paid to cover football, and though one of the two consensus finalists for the NFL's defensive player of the year award was suspended for using anabolic steroids earlier this season, we've heard nary a peep about that little unpleasantness come playoff time.
Since his team is playing this weekend, here's a song and video slideshow I put together addressing the topic. It's to the tune of "I Hate Myself For Loving You", a.k.a. the Joan Jett song that Pink butchered on behalf of NBC this year, so it's also something of a parody of that debacle. Lyrics are posted below the clip. Much thanks to Ben for his help writing them.
You weigh two-seventy
Run a four-six forty
You say you're all natural
That's a hell of a story
Seventeen sacks and an All Pro season
But you missed four games
And we all know the reason
How much HGH have you injected?
Because you play football, I guess it's expected
I hate how no one rips on you
Everyone ignored all the telltale clues
What is our standard? What's our excuse?
Why has no one asked you why you were on the juice?

Loved it. It's about time people start rippin' on this overrated, juiced up clown. This guy is what's wrong with the NFL.
